Beneath The Waves - Kompendium 2012

KompendiumというのはMagentaのRob Reedのプロジェクトで、ある一人の男と彼の妻子に起きた切なくも悲しい出来事に関しての1902年の新聞記事にインスパイアされたものとなっています。音のほうはケルティックなシンフォニック・ロックといった感じで、同傾向のバンドとしてIonaがあげられるのではないかと思います。メンバーはスティーヴ・ハケットの他、Francis Dunnery, Nick Beggs, B.J.Cole, Mel Collins, Dave Stewartなどそうそうたる顔ぶれで、ハケット先生は１曲で透き通るようなアコースティック・ギターを聞かせくれています。
なお、アルバムはCDとDVD(24/96, DTS, Dolby Digitalの３種類の5.1chサラウンド音源、アルバムの３曲とセッションの映像）との２枚組で18ページのブックレット付き、シングルレコードサイズの豪華版仕様となっています。

Kompendium is a project led by Rob Reed(Magenta) inspired by an article of Irish Express in 1902 about a sad story of a man and his wife and baby. The music is celtic symphonic rock and featuring Francis Dunnery, Nick Beggs, B.J.Cole, Mel Collins, Dave Stewart, etc. Steve plays the acoustic guitar on one track. The album is single record sized deluxe edition containing CD/DVD(24/96, DTS, Dolby Digital plus 3 music and a session videos) with 18 pages booklet.
